Privacy policy

This page explains what True Weird Stuff collects when you use this site, and what happens to it.

What this site collects

You can browse the site and listen to every episode without an account, and without giving us any personal information. There are no accounts on this site.

The only personal information we ask for is your email address, and only if you choose to join the newsletter.

The newsletter

If you join the newsletter, we use your email address only to send you emails about new episodes.

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe, we stop sending you emails.

Your address is kept in the site’s subscriber list and with the email service that sends the newsletter. We never sell or rent it to anyone.

Analytics and cookies

The site measures visits with Google Analytics, and only after you agree to it in the cookie notice.

If you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics never load.

You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Audio, video and links

Episode audio streams from the podcast’s hosting provider.

Video trailers load from YouTube only when you press play.

Links to other sites are covered by those sites’ own policies, not this one.
